The primary aim of our High Risk Podiatry Clinic is to decrease preventable lower limb amputations, reduce hospital length of stay and improve rehabilitation outcomes in relation to foot and lower limb pathology.
Our podiatry service provides specialist assessment, treatment and advice for acute presentations, especially in relation to wound care and acute diabetic foot complications.
Referrals are accepted from medical, nursing and allied health staff both from the hospital and community settings.
Ongoing podiatric care is available through community providers and patients will be encouraged and directed to make use of these services for maintenance and non-urgent care.
