  • Nursing and Midwifery Graduate Program

      Mackay Hospital and Health Service offers a comprehensive Nursing and Midwifery Graduate Program. Our program is designed to facilitate your transition as a newly registered nurse or midwife into your first year of practice.

      We offer graduates a supportive 12-month temporary placement that will help you reach your full potential and provide exciting and rewarding career opportunities.

  • International applicants

      We welcome applications from experienced health professionals from outside Australia.

      If you’re an internationally qualified nurse or midwife (IQNM) wanting to work in Australia, you’ll need to gain and maintain registration with, and meet requirements of, the NMBA.

      All IQNM applicants wishing to seek registration in Australia as an enrolled nurse (EN), registered nurse (RN) or midwife must refer and complete all requirements as detailed in the outcomes-based assessment pathway.
