Mackay HHS has 74 new positive COVID-19 cases to make a total of 259 active cases throughout the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday local government areas.
Of these 38 are in Mackay Base Hospital Virtual Ward and 19 are in Townsville University Hospital‘s Virtual Ward. All are in a stable condition.
There were 535 COVID-19 tests done by the Mackay HHS on 30 December. Of these 159 were at Proserpine Hospital.
Private pathology providers are also offering testing.
