Mackay HHS has 79 new positive COVID-19 cases to make a total of 185 active cases throughout the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday local government areas.
Of these 20 are in Mackay Base Hospital Virtual Ward and 19 are in Townsville University Hospital‘s Virtual Ward. All are in a stable condition.
There were 661 COVID-19 tests done by the Mackay HHS on 29 December. Of these 212 were done at Proserpine Hospital.
Private pathology providers are also offering testing.
