Mackay HHS has 81 new positive COVID-19 cases to make a total of 341 active cases throughout the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday local government areas.
Of these 56 are in Mackay Base Hospital Virtual Ward and 19 are in the Townsville University Hospital Virtual Ward. All are in a stable condition.
Other positive cases are isolating and receiving regular contact from our Public Health Unit.
A total of 12 cases are reported as recovered.
There were 419 COVID-19 tests done by the Mackay HHS on 31 December. Of these 130were at Proserpine Hospital.
Private pathology providers are also offering testing.
