About the Consumer Advisory Partners
The Mackay HHS Consumer Advisory Partners (CAP) was established in March 2016. It is a group of community representatives who work with the health service to improve the care provided to patients, families, and the community. The group has representatives from across the whole of Mackay HHS and from different backgrounds.
Our CAP plays an important role in making sure the services and care we provide reflects the needs and aspirations of the community. Our CAP help make sure our Board and Executive team hear directly from people in our community. They provide valuable feedback to inform service planning, design, and delivery. Our members bring the consumer perspective to health service planning and often participate in other committees, working groups and activities across the organisation.
