Warren Banks was travelling on a bus to work at a solar farm near Collinsville when he developed chest pains.
It was just after 9am on 4 July when he was diverted to hospital in a serious condition suffering a heart attack.
Mr Banks returned to Collinsville MPHS last week with a big thank-you and chocolates for staff for saving his life.
“I was really pleased to be able to revisit your lifesaving facility today,” he said.
“Thank-you for your welcome and interest in my case – I look forward to showing my family ‘our’ story on your facebook page.
“Thanks again for your effective work, and excellent staff, led by Dr Soe,” he said.
Mr Bank was attended to by Dr Soe, DON Rebecca Sibbick, NUM Katrina Crawford, RN Angie Laskie and medical students Claudia Rouse and Vidhshan Paheerathan.
He has since received follow-up care by Brisbane Cardiologist Dr Andrew Small in Brisbane said the treatment that he received in Collinsville contributed largely to the successful outcome.
