Mackay HHS celebrated the completion of its 2018 Nursing and Midwifery Graduate Program with a presentation on Tuesday.
The coveted program provided clinically supervised placements to 53 nurses and midwives over 12 months at Mackay Base Hospital and seven rural hospitals.
Graduates worked across any of the 25 clinical areas including mental health, emergency, renal, medical, cardiac, surgical, oncology and theatres.
Many nurses have chosen to stay with MHHS, reflecting our greater plan to’grow our own talent’ and support Queensland Health’s commitment to provide jobs to locals.
The 2019 program will commence later this month.
